SASHG and SAASTA Essay Competition

SASHG partnered with The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) in 2010 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, by hosting an essay competition for Young Scientists. A special prize, sponsored by SASHG, for the best essay on Genetics relevant to South Africa was awarded in the Young Science Communicators Competition.
